A baby shower is such a special time for mothers to be. It’s a time when the expectant mom gets to share her joy with her family and friends. When planning a baby shower the hostess should remember that baby shower games will take an ordinary shower to a memory of a lifetime.

Baby shower games can be simple games like find the dirty diaper. In this game guests each pick up a folded diaper when they join the baby shower. Then as an opening ice breaker each guest on folds their diaper. One guest will have something “dirty” inside like a dot of peanut butter or mustard. The guest with the dirty diaper then wins a door prize.

Another baby shower game that is great fun is to guess how big the mom is. In this game each baby shower guest estimates how many toilet paper squares it will take to go around the moms’ belly. The guest with the closest guess wins a prize.

Just in case your mother to be is not a game loving kind of gal you can hold a decorate the baby room party. In this type of baby shower instead of games guests come and decorate the baby’s room for the new mom. This gives mom to be an extra special room where she will be able to remember her friends and family as she cares for her new infant.

Whether your mother to be is looking forward to fun loving baby shower games or just a simple baby shower remember this day will be a day she cherishes for years to come.

Being the host of a baby shower can be a rewarding and yet somewhat daunting task. One of the most important aspects of a shower is the games that are played. It’s important to think of unique games that will keep guests entertained but are also simple to do. Here is some fun and creative ideas for baby shower games that are sure to encourage participation and keep everyone busy.

The first types of games that could be played at a baby shower to get people to interact with one another are those that are referred to as ice breakers. These games allow those who may not know many others to relax and meet new people you can visit www.babies-tips.com Ice breakers should be played throughout the duration of the shower with the prizes awarded at the end of the party. Here are two types of games that are sure to get everyone in on the fun.

The Baby Word Game

With this interactive game has someone hand out a small item such as an appropriately colored button or ribbon as they arrive at the party. Each time a guest hears someone say the word “baby” they are allowed to take that person’s ribbon or button for their own collection. But the game doesn’t end for the person whose object was taken; they in turn can always take someone else’s if they hear them say the key word! This way the game continues to the end of the shower, no one is ever “out” and the person with the most objects collected at the end of the event wins the prize.

The “Whodunit” Game

another popular ice breaking game (this one is popular in many settings, not just at baby showers) is the Whodunit game. Guests are given a list with a selection of items on it, such as “Has green eyes”, or “has more than three siblings”. Guests then go around and try to fill out their sheets with the signatures of other guests who fit those categories.

Party Games: With some of the introductions and socializing over, it is time to get down to a couple of party games. Really, you can play any kind of party game you wish, but in keeping with the theme of the day try to incorporate some ideas that evoke baby shower imagery. Get creative and try to come up with games which aren’t typical of some of the baby showers you have attended. If you don’t have any ideas of where to start then try the ideas listed below.

Dictionary

this popular group game is easily adaptable to a baby shower theme. Guests should be divided into equal teams and be given words related to babies and pregnancy to draw for their teammates to guess or go to www.baby-care-book.com all it takes is a marker, a large pad of paper, a dry-erase board or even a chalkboard for the fun to begin. This type of game is a great way for people to make new friends and can also be a fun learning experience.

Categories

this fun and easy game is also simple to adapt to a baby shower theme. Think of baby-related categories such as popular baby names, brands of diapers, or essential baby care items. Now pick some relatively simple letters for guests to think of a word beginning with that letter for each of the listed categories within a set amount of time. After time is up, all duplicate words are eliminated and the guest left with the most words is the big winner.

Baby showers are a fun time for the mother-to-be and all of her friends. Take the time to make everyone feel included and above all else, make the baby shower fun! No one wants to attend a dull shower, so make this one a shower to remember.

Baby Shower Games Ideas

A baby shower party is simply not complete without games, fun, and prizes and gifts. Depending on your party theme and atmosphere you can plan some game events to make it enjoyable for kids and adults alike. A great start would be Baby Shower Bingo, which is just like normal Bingo. Instead of conventional bingo, it would have fun baby theme phrases. This is a game that each guest of all ages would love to play. You can always combine them with some other baby shower games for really fun a event.

Baby shower games otherwise come as blessings to the hosts who remain perpetually confused to what to do at a baby shower party. Some interactive and fun games keep the little ones engaged and entertained as well. Baby word scramble or tray memory games are fun and everybody would love to participate in them. Organizing these games is easy too.

Before the game starts, you can put 10 to 15 small baby items on a tray for the guests to have a look at. After taking them away in some other corner, change the arrangements or replace some items with another closely matching the previous one. Now bring them back, ask guests to identify the changes. On the right guess he or she wins that item. For example, you can initially keep some Pastel Baby Bottle Containers with pink tops but replace it with blue ones and so on.

If you organize some games for the kids, keep Vinyl Princess Rubber Duckys, whistles, pink or blue feather boa for all as a gift. They are inexpensive yet brings smile to innocent faces. Some White Rock Candy Sticks or lollipops are also great party treats

The rice and safety pins game is also quite popular. Here, you mix some small golden pins or other small glittery objects in a bowl filled with rice and ask the guests to find them all within a set time period.

Ask every invitee to bring a picture of themselves as a baby while coming for the party. Display them in a board and ask them to identify the one in the picture. The prize for the right guess can be Glass photo Coasters or photo frames.

Pass the Parcel or a musical chair can bring a fun atmosphere to the party. Wrap a small favor or gift in several pieces of paper by fastening each layer with tape. Each participant opens one layer and hands it over to the next. Whosoever opens the last layer gets the gift.
